Hello! Welcome to TopAsiaFX. I am Agent Merina, your dedicated support assistant. How can I help you today?

The PrimeXBT demo account lets you trade with virtual funds on real market conditions, and it costs nothing to open. You sign up with just an email and a password, no deposit required, and you get the same instruments, tools, and order types you would have on a funded account.

It runs on PXTrader 2.0 and MetaTrader 5, across web, iOS, and Android.

That much is straightforward. What is less obvious from PrimeXBT's own pages is how the demo behaves once you actually start using it, what it does and does not prepare you for, and the point at which staying on demo stops being useful. That is what this covers.

What the PrimeXBT Demo Gives You?

Once you register, you land in your account area, which also shows any bonuses you are eligible for in your region. From there you open the Trade tab and choose between CFD trading or Crypto Futures.

At that point you are prompted to either practice on the demo or fund the real account, so the two paths sit side by side rather than being buried in separate menus. Everything from there runs on virtual money against live-style pricing.

You can read how the live accounts themselves are structured in our PrimeXBT account types guide.

On the CFD side, the demo covers forex, indices, commodities, and crypto, the same four categories available live. Crypto Futures sit as a separate, more advanced mode within the same demo account, useful if you plan to trade perpetual contracts rather than straightforward CFDs.

Which Accounts Can You Demo?

The demo is not tied to one account type. It is available across PXTrader 2.0, MT5 Standard, MT5 ZeroStop, and MT5 Pro, so you can test the specific conditions of whichever account you are leaning toward rather than a generic simulation.

That matters here more than with most brokers, because PrimeXBT's account types genuinely differ in leverage ceiling and stop-out behaviour. Demoing MT5 ZeroStop, for instance, actually shows you the 0% stop-out mechanic in action, not just a description of it.

No Deposit, and What That Changes?

PrimeXBT does not ask for a deposit or even a live account before you can open a demo, which removes the usual friction of registering just to look around. It also means the demo genuinely costs nothing to explore, unlike brokers that gate their demo behind a funded account or a time limit.

Expert Tip: Because opening a demo is this frictionless, it is worth testing more than one account type before committing to a live one. Run PXTrader 2.0 for a session, then MT5 Pro, and compare how the spreads and execution actually feel rather than just reading the numbers on the account page. The setup cost is zero, so there is no reason to guess.

What the Demo Trains You to Do Well?

  • Apply what you have learned. PrimeXBT's own guidance points new traders to its Learn & Research section first, then over to the demo to put that reading into practice on the same platform they will trade live.
  • Get comfortable with the interface. With over 100 instruments across CFDs alone, the demo is the sensible place to learn where things are before your own money is involved.
  • Read market analysis inside the platform. News, reports, and market commentary are accessible directly from the trading screen, so the demo also gets you used to using that research as part of your process, not as a separate step.

What the Demo Can’t Train You to Do?

This is the part broker pages tend to skip. A demo cannot replicate the discomfort of watching your own money move, and that gap matters more with PrimeXBT than with a low-leverage broker, because the leverage on offer here runs up to 1:2000 depending on the entity and instrument.

A demo trade sized for that leverage feels abstract. The same trade with real funds behind it does not.

Execution can also differ slightly once real liquidity and real order flow are involved, particularly during fast news moves. Treat a clean demo track record as a good sign, not as a guarantee that live conditions will feel identical.

Moving From Demo to a Live Account

PrimeXBT frames the transition simply: once you are comfortable trading, managing exposure, and using the platform's tools to work toward your goals, you deposit and switch to the live account.

Because PrimeXBT sets no fixed minimum deposit, and the practical floor depends on your payment method, moving from demo to live does not require a large sum.

Our PrimeXBT minimum deposit guide breaks down what each funding method actually requires. Before funding anything with real money, it also pays to know PrimeXBT's KYC requirements, since crypto trading needs no verification, but fiat deposits do.

Our Take for New Traders

The PrimeXBT demo does what a demo should do well. It is free, asks for nothing upfront, mirrors the actual platforms, and lets you test the specific account type you are considering rather than a generic stand-in.

Where it falls short is where every demo falls short, it cannot replicate the psychology of real money or the exact texture of live execution. Use it to learn the platform and the mechanics properly, then treat your first live trades, at whatever small size you start with, as the real test.
