Tickmill keeps its live account lineup fairly tight these days: Classic, Raw, and a TradingView-specific version of Raw, all sharing the same $100 minimum deposit and access to the same instrument range.

There's also a free demo account and a swap-free option available on request. Here's what each one actually offers, along with a couple of recent changes worth knowing about.

If you're weighing Tickmill against other brokers, this Tickmill review from TopAsiaFX covers the regulation, fees, and real client feedback in more depth.

Classic Account

This is the simplest starting point. Spreads start from 1.6 pips, and there's no commission at all, the cost is built entirely into the spread. The minimum deposit is $100, leverage goes up to 1:1000 depending on your regulatory entity, and you can trade with lot sizes as small as 0.01.

It suits beginners or anyone who trades infrequently and prefers not to think about a separate commission line.

Raw Account

This is Tickmill's main account for active traders, and the one most people end up choosing if they trade regularly. Spreads start from 0.0 pips, with a commission of $3 per lot, per side, on forex and precious metals, working out to roughly $6 on a round-turn trade.

Indices, energies, bonds, and crypto don't carry that separate commission.

Worth Knowing: this account used to be called "Pro," and was renamed to Raw in 2025 alongside a commission increase from $2 to $3 per side, so if you're reading older reviews mentioning "Pro" or a lower commission, that's what changed. The minimum deposit stays at $100, same as Classic.

TradingView Raw Account

This version is built specifically for traders who want to operate inside the TradingView platform rather than MT4 or MT5. Pricing mirrors the standard Raw account closely, with spreads from 0.0 pips, though the commission runs slightly higher at $3.50 per side, or $7 round-turn, per standard lot.

It's a niche option, but a useful one if TradingView's charting and interface are what you're used to.

What Happened to the VIP Account?

If you've come across mentions of a VIP account with a $50,000 minimum and $1 per side commission, that tier was discontinued in 2025. It's understandable why some articles still reference it, since it was part of Tickmill's lineup for a long time, but as of the most recent update to Tickmill's own account page, it's no longer offered. High-volume traders who previously qualified for VIP pricing don't currently have a direct replacement tier.

Demo Account

Tickmill's demo account mirrors live trading conditions closely, with access to the full instrument range across Forex, stocks, indices, commodities, bonds, and crypto. Unlike some brokers, Tickmill's demo accounts don't expire and don't cap your virtual balance, so you can use one for as long as you need without worrying about a reset.

Islamic (Swap-Free) Account

Any of Tickmill's live accounts can be converted into a swap-free version on request, removing the interest-based overnight charge in line with Sharia trading principles.

Instead of a standard swap, a flat administration fee typically applies after a short grace period on most instruments, though major forex pairs and gold often stay free of financing charges for slightly longer. It's worth checking the specific terms for your account type before assuming every instrument is covered the same way.

What's the Same Across Every Account?

Regardless of which account you pick, you get negative balance protection, segregated client funds, and a zero-fee policy on deposits and withdrawals, Tickmill doesn't charge for either, and even reimburses wire transfer fees up to $100 on transactions over $5,000 if you can show a bank statement. There's also no inactivity fee if your account sits unused for a while.

A Couple of Things Worth Knowing

Base account currencies depend on which regulatory entity you fall under. UK and EU clients can hold accounts in USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, or CHF, while international clients under the Seychelles entity can choose USD, EUR, GBP, or ZAR.

Leverage also varies by entity, capped at 1:30 under FCA and CySEC regulation, but going as high as 1:1000 under less strict offshore entities. It's worth checking which entity actually applies to your country before assuming the leverage or currency options described here apply exactly as written.

Which Account Should You Choose?

If you're new to trading or don't trade often, Classic keeps things simple with no commission to calculate. If you trade regularly, Raw usually works out cheaper overall once the tighter spread is weighed against the commission.

If you're specifically working inside TradingView, the TradingView Raw account gets you similar pricing within that platform. And if you need swap-free trading, it's available as an add-on to whichever account fits your style.

A Few Tips Before You Choose

  • Don't assume Raw is automatically the better deal if you trade infrequently. The commission adds up per trade, so for occasional traders, Classic's simpler all-in-spread pricing can actually cost less overall.
  • Check which regulatory entity applies to your country before assuming the leverage described here is what you'll actually get. The gap between 1:30 and 1:1000 is significant depending on where you're registered.
  • If you're deciding between Raw and TradingView Raw, factor in the extra $0.50 per side on the TradingView version against how much you actually value trading inside that platform.
  • Take advantage of Tickmill's zero-fee deposit and withdrawal policy, but keep an eye on your own bank's fees, since Tickmill's side being free doesn't guarantee your bank won't charge something.
  • Use the demo account without worrying about a time limit, since Tickmill doesn't expire them, making it a low-pressure way to fully test a strategy before going live.
