Hello! Welcome to TopAsiaFX. I am Agent Merina, your dedicated support assistant. How can I help you today?

Every trader eventually runs into the same question: which account type actually matches how I trade? AssetsFX, run by Assets Global Ltd, keeps its lineup fairly simple with four accounts built on MT4 and MT5: Standard, ECN, ECN Pro, and Zero ECN.

The differences come down to spread, commission, minimum deposit, and a few smaller details that matter more than they first appear. Top Asia FX walks through each account below, along with a few practical notes worth checking before you fund one.

For a broader look at the broker beyond account structure, our full AssetsFX review covers regulation, platforms, and overall trading conditions.

Standard Account

The Standard account opens with a $10 minimum deposit, spreads starting from 1 pip, and no commission charged per trade. Leverage runs up to 1:1000, and lot sizes range from 0.01 to 500.

It's the account AssetsFX positions for newer traders, and the numbers back that up: a low entry point, straightforward pricing since the spread is your only cost, and nothing extra to calculate before placing an order. If you're still building a feel for position sizing or testing a strategy with small amounts, this is where most people start.

ECN Account

Step up to the ECN account and the minimum deposit rises to $50, spreads tighten to as low as 0.01 pip, and AssetsFX adds a $3 commission per lot per side. Leverage stays at 1:1000.

The trade-off is simple: you pay a small, fixed commission in exchange for spreads that can run far tighter than the Standard account, particularly on major pairs during liquid sessions.

Traders who like calculating exact cost per trade, or who trade often enough that spread savings add up, tend to prefer this structure over one wider all-in spread.

ECN Pro Account

The ECN Pro account targets traders who want execution speed and pricing closer to the raw interbank feed. It asks for a $1,000 minimum deposit, offers spreads from 0.0 pip, and charges a lower $2 commission per lot per side.

Leverage again goes up to 1:1000. Against the standard ECN tier, the commission drops by a dollar while spreads can compress further, which suits traders running higher volumes or shorter-term strategies where every pip of cost matters.

Zero ECN Account

This account is built for traders funding with real size and expecting zero-spread pricing. The minimum deposit is $5,000, spreads start from 0.0 pip, and there's no commission at all.

It also runs on different risk settings than the other three accounts: margin call sits at 100% and stop out at 40%, compared with 50% and 30% on Standard, ECN, and ECN Pro.

Funding is crypto-only, and the account runs on MT5 and the web platform rather than MT4. One point worth flagging: the leverage figure for this tier wasn't displaying correctly on the official account types of page at the time of writing, so it's worth confirming that number directly with AssetsFX support before committing funds.

What Stays the Same Across All Four?

A few things don't change regardless of which account you pick. All four are swap-free, all use instant execution with no requotes, and AssetsFX advertises 5-digit pricing precision across the board. Deposit and withdrawal channels also work the same way structurally, aside from the Zero ECN account's crypto-only rule.

Matching the Account to How You Actually Trade

The honest way to pick between these four is to weigh deposit size and trading frequency together, not separately. A trader depositing $50 to $200 gains very little from ECN Pro's tighter spread if the $2 per lot commission eats a large share of a small account's gains.

On the other end, someone trading multiple lots a day with a $5,000-plus balance is often better off paying zero commission on Zero ECN than absorbing a wider spread on Standard.

As a Rough Starting Point: Newer traders or anyone testing a strategy with limited capital tends to suit Standard. Traders who want tighter pricing and don't mind calculating a small commission fit ECN or ECN Pro depending on deposit size.

Traders running frequent, high-volume, or scalping strategies with a larger balance tend to gravitate toward Zero ECN, provided they're comfortable funding through crypto.

Getting an Account Open

AssetsFX keeps the process to four steps: register with your details, verify your identity using a government-issued ID, fund the account through one of the supported payment methods, and start trading across the platform's forex, commodities, indices, and crypto instruments.

None of the four account types change this process, only the deposit amount required to activate the account you've chosen.

Regulatory and Security Notes

AssetsFX operates under Assets Global Ltd, registered in Mauritius under registration number C207079 GBC, with its registered office in Port Louis. The broker states it doesn't offer services to residents of the United States, Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea, or Sudan, so it's worth checking your own jurisdiction before registering.

On the account protection side, AssetsFX lists segregated client funds and negative balance protection as standard across its accounts, alongside 24/7 support offered in ten languages.

A Few Expert Notes

Test any account type on the demo version first, especially before moving from Standard to a commission-based account, so you can see the real cost difference on your own trade size. Run the math on commission versus spread savings before assuming a tighter spread automatically costs less overall.

If you're weighing Zero ECN, plan your funding method ahead of time since it only accepts crypto deposits, and confirm the current leverage figure with support rather than relying on what's shown on the page.

Quick Answers

An ECN account differs from Standard mainly in pricing structure. Standard folds the cost into a wider spread, while ECN accounts charge a separate, smaller commission on top of a tighter spread. ECN Pro follows the same logic with an even lower commission and tighter starting spreads, aimed at traders who prioritize execution quality.

Zero ECN's main draw is paying no commission at all while still getting spreads from 0.0 pip, though it asks for a much higher minimum deposit and crypto-only funding in return. The Standard account remains the simplest entry point, with a $10 minimum deposit and no commission structure to learn.
