JustMarkets offers a swap-free option, usually called an Islamic account, so Muslim traders can hold positions overnight without paying or earning interest. It applies to all four JustMarkets account types and runs on the same MT4 and MT5 platforms.
One thing to know from the start: it is not switched on by default. You apply through support and confirm you qualify first.
Before you rely on it, two things are worth checking, and we cover both below: whether any small fee applies if you hold a trade open for a very long time, and the fact that everything else about the account, spreads and commission included, stays exactly as it was.
The name points to a purpose, not to the faith itself. Sharia law forbids riba, which means interest, and a normal forex account quietly charges or pays interest whenever you keep a trade open past the end of the day. That overnight charge is called swap.
A swap-free account removes it, so a practicing Muslim trader can hold positions without breaking that rule. JustMarkets provides the account for exactly that reason.
Swap is a small amount added to or taken from your account when a trade rolls past the daily cutoff, usually around midnight on the broker's server. It comes from the interest-rate gap between the two currencies in your pair. Some nights it is credited to you, some nights it is deducted.
For a trader whose faith rules out interest, the direction does not matter. Receiving it is a problem, and paying it is a problem. That is the whole reason the swap-free account exists, rather than it being a discount or a perk.
On a swap-free account, no swap is credited or debited when your position moves into the next day. You can hold a longer trade without watching an overnight cost build up.
Aside from that one change, the account behaves like the standard version, so your platform, orders, and markets all stay the same. If you want to compare the wider field first, our list of swap-free brokers is a good reference.
All four account types qualify: Standard Cent, Standard, Pro, and Raw Spread.
The markets you can trade match the base account, so the Cent account stays on forex and commodities while the others add indices, stocks, and crypto.
| Account | Swap-Free | Minimum Deposit | Markets You Can Trade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Cent | Available | $10 | Forex and Commodities |
| Standard | Available | $10 | Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks, Crypto |
| Pro | Available | $200 | Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks, Crypto |
| Raw Spread | Available | $200 | Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks, Crypto |
The full account breakdown, including spreads and lot sizes, sits in our JustMarkets review.
It takes a request, not just a toggle. The flow is short.
The setting is meant for Muslim clients, and for others approved under an extended swap-free level, so approval depends on meeting those terms rather than simply asking.
Going swap-free does not change your trading costs. Spreads stay the same, and a Raw Spread account still charges its flat $3 per lot each side. What you save is only the overnight interest.
Here is the point to check for yourself. JustMarkets' own page describes the account as genuinely swap-free, with nothing credited or deducted when a position carries over.
Many brokers, though, add a small administrative or holding fee once a trade stays open for a long stretch, to stop the feature being used purely to dodge overnight costs.
Before you plan to hold trades for weeks, ask JustMarkets support whether any such fee applies to your account and to the specific markets you trade. If Islamic trading is central to your plan, weigh it against other brokers with Islamic accounts too.
For a trader who needs to avoid interest, the JustMarkets swap-free account does the core job well. It is available across every account type; it keeps the rest of your conditions intact, and the broker frames it as a real Sharia-friendly option rather than a gimmick.
The sensible move is to confirm the eligibility terms and any long-hold fee with support first, then trade the account you would have chosen anyway, now without the overnight interest.
