How TopAsiaFX
Is Funded

A full, plain-language explanation of how this website earns revenue โ€” and why it never influences our editorial output.

The Short Answer

TopAsiaFX earns revenue in two ways: affiliate commissions (paid by brokers when a reader opens an account via our tracked links) and display advertising (banner placements and sponsored content from brokers and financial service providers).

All of our content โ€” broker reviews, rankings, comparison tools, guides โ€” is free to access for every reader. We do not charge subscription fees. We do not sell your data. Our revenue model is built entirely on the two commercial relationships described on this page, both of which are fully disclosed.

This page explains exactly how each revenue stream works, what limits we place on commercial relationships to protect our editorial independence, and what it means for you as a reader.

Why We Publish This Page

Independent financial media has a trust problem. Many forex comparison and review websites present themselves as neutral while being heavily influenced โ€” or outright controlled โ€” by the brokers they review. Readers deserve to know whether the site they are reading from has a financial interest in the recommendations it makes.

We believe the answer is not to pretend that commercial relationships do not exist โ€” they do, and they are how we fund the research and content that keeps this website running. The answer is complete transparency about exactly what those relationships are, and documented operational firewalls that prevent them from influencing editorial output.

This page is that transparency document. It is written for traders, not for search engines. If you finish reading it and still have questions, contact us directly at [email protected].

01

Our Revenue Streams โ€” In Detail

01   Affiliate Commissions

When a reader clicks a tracked link on TopAsiaFX and subsequently opens a trading account with a broker โ€” and in some cases makes a qualifying deposit โ€” the broker pays TopAsiaFX a commission. This commission comes entirely from the broker. It does not cost the reader anything, and it does not affect the trading conditions, spreads, or fees the reader receives from the broker.

  • Commission structures vary โ€” fixed fee per account, revenue share on trading volume, or a combination
  • We use affiliate links for brokers we have reviewed independently โ€” but not all reviewed brokers are affiliate partners, and not all partners appear in all rankings
  • Affiliate links are clearly labelled near the link itself and disclosed in our Advertiser Disclosure
  • We do not accept affiliate arrangements that require positive editorial treatment as a condition of the partnership

02   Display Advertising

Brokers and financial service providers can purchase advertising space on TopAsiaFX. This includes banner placements on review and comparison pages, sponsored content articles (clearly labelled as sponsored), and retargeting pixel placements that allow advertisers to reach our audience via their own paid media campaigns after a visitor leaves our site.

  • Banner advertising is sold on a placement basis โ€” advertisers pay for position on the page, not for editorial outcomes
  • Sponsored content is always labelled ‘Sponsored’ or ‘Advertisement’ at the top of the page and is visually distinct from editorial content
  • Retargeting pixel placements are disclosed in our Privacy Policy โ€” readers can opt out via cookie preferences
  • Advertising revenue does not influence broker scores, ranking positions, or editorial wording
What we do not do: We do not charge brokers for reviews. We do not accept payment for higher scores. We do not sell ranking positions. We do not remove factually accurate negative content in exchange for commercial arrangements. These are absolute limits, not aspirational guidelines.
02

What Is Always Free for Readers

The following are never paywalled, never restricted, and never dependent on the reader taking any commercial action:

  • All broker reviews โ€” including scores, methodology breakdowns, pros, cons, and trading condition comparisons
  • All rankings and comparison tools โ€” including country-specific best-broker lists and platform comparisons
  • All guides and educational content โ€” including regulatory guides, dispute resolution resources, and market explainers
  • The Editorial Methodology โ€” our full scoring criteria, weightings, and update process are publicly documented
  • The Advertiser Disclosure โ€” the complete list of commercial relationships is published and updated
  • Editorial Guidelines โ€” our standards for content production, fact-checking, and independence are publicly available

We provide free content because our business model depends on readers trusting what we publish. A reader who trusts our reviews is more likely to use our links. That trust is built by giving honest, independent information โ€” not by steering readers toward whichever broker pays us most.

03

The Editorial Firewall

The most important structural safeguard in our business model is the separation between the editorial team and the commercial team.

How the Separation Works

  • Editorial team: responsible for researching, writing, scoring, and updating broker reviews and guides. Has no access to commercial agreement terms, commission rates, or advertising revenue data.
  • Commercial / partnerships team: responsible for affiliate partnerships, advertising sales, and partnership agreements with brokers. Does not influence editorial assignments, scores, or content decisions.
  • QA / compliance review: independently reviews content involving affiliate partners or advertisers before publication to verify scores and wording reflect the methodology, not commercial relationships.

What Advertisers and Partners Cannot Do

Commercial partners โ€” whether affiliate brokers, display advertisers, or sponsored content clients โ€” explicitly cannot:

  • Approve or edit editorial content before it is published
  • Request changes to scores, ratings, or rankings
  • Demand removal of factually accurate negative information
  • Influence which brokers appear in ‘best’ or ‘top’ lists
  • Purchase a ‘recommended’ or ‘editor’s choice’ badge through a commercial arrangement
  • Receive favourable editorial treatment as a condition of an affiliate or advertising relationship
What happens if a partner pressures us? If a commercial partner requests editorial changes that are not factually justified, we decline. If a partner makes continued or serious demands for editorial interference, we review the partnership and may terminate it. Our editorial team’s independence is not negotiable.

The Cost to You as a Reader

Using TopAsiaFX costs you nothing. There are no fees, subscriptions, or hidden charges for any reader.

When you click an affiliate link and open an account with a broker:

  • The commission TopAsiaFX receives is paid entirely by the broker from its own revenue
  • Your trading costs โ€” spreads, commissions, swap rates โ€” are not increased as a result
  • Your account terms are not altered
  • You are never required to use an affiliate link โ€” you can always visit a broker’s website directly
A note on how this works in practice: When you visit a broker via our tracked link, a cookie identifies your session. If you open a qualifying account, the broker pays us a commission based on the terms of our affiliate agreement. The broker sets this commission from its own customer acquisition budget โ€” it does not come from your deposit or your trading activity.

How to Read Our Content With This in Mind

Knowing our revenue model, here is how to approach our content as an informed reader:

  • Broker Reviews

Every broker review is based on our Editorial Methodology and scored independently of commercial status. A broker that is an affiliate partner is reviewed and scored by the same criteria as a broker that has no commercial relationship with us. Check the ‘Last Updated’ date โ€” we update reviews when trading conditions or regulatory status change.

  • Rankings and Top Lists

Editorial rankings โ€” ‘Best Brokers in Bangladesh’, ‘Best MT5 Brokers in Asia’ โ€” are determined by methodology scores. Where paid placement affects the order of a list, you will see a label near the table. Our Advertiser Disclosure lists all brokers with whom we have commercial relationships.

  • Affiliate Links

Affiliate links are labelled near the link itself. If you prefer not to use them, you can navigate directly to any broker’s website. Using our links helps us fund the research that keeps this site running โ€” but it is always your choice.

  • Sponsored Content

Sponsored articles and brand features are labelled ‘Sponsored’ or ‘Advertisement’ at the top of the page and are visually distinct from standard editorial content. They are reviewed for factual accuracy but are not independent editorial assessments.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does TopAsiaFX accept payment for positive reviews?

No. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable review wording, higher scores, or endorsement. Our review and scoring process is governed by our published methodology, which applies identically to all brokers regardless of commercial status.

  • Can a broker pay to be removed from a negative review?

No. Factually accurate negative information is not removed or modified as a result of commercial arrangements. If a broker improves its services and the improvement is verified, we update the review to reflect that โ€” but the trigger is the factual change, not a commercial request.

  • Does TopAsiaFX show me different results based on which broker pays more?

No, with one limited exception: paid placement, which is always labelled. Editorial rankings are based on methodology scores. Paid placement may affect position in certain list formats โ€” this is disclosed clearly near the element where it applies.

  • How do I know which brokers on TopAsiaFX are commercial partners?

Our Advertiser Disclosure page lists all brokers and financial service providers with whom TopAsiaFX has a current affiliate or advertising relationship. This list is updated regularly.

  • Is the affiliate link tracked even if I don’t open an account?

A cookie may be set when you click an affiliate link. If you do not open an account or take a qualifying action, no commission is earned and no data about your trading activity is shared with us. Our Privacy Policy explains how tracking works and how to opt out.
