Hello! Welcome to TopAsiaFX. I am Agent Merina, your dedicated support assistant. How can I help you today?

If you want to try trading before risking real money, an IUX demo account is the easiest way to do it. It uses virtual funds instead of your own, so you can get comfortable with the platform without any pressure.

If you want a closer look at the broker itself before signing up, check out this IUX review.

Setting one up takes just a couple of minutes. Here's how.

What a Demo Account Actually Gives You?

A demo account mirrors real trading conditions as closely as possible. Prices, spreads, and order speed are built to match the live market, so what you practice on demo should feel familiar once you switch to a real account.

The only real difference is the money. It's virtual, so nothing you gain or lose there affects your actual finances.

Before You Start

You'll need an IUX Member Area account first. If you haven't created one yet, do that before anything else, since the demo account lives inside your Member Area dashboard.

Once you're logged in, you're ready to go.

Creating Your Demo Account, Step by Step

  1. Log in to your IUX Member Area.
  2. Go to Accounts.
  3. Pick an account type: Standard, Pro, or Raw. Demo accounts can be created under any of the three.
  4. Click Try Demo.
  5. Choose your leverage.
  6. Set a trading password (separate from your Member Area password).
  7. Confirm your settings.

That's the whole process. Your demo account is now live and ready to trade on.

Getting Into MT5

Once your demo account is created, you'll trade through MetaTrader 5 (MT5) unless you're using IUX's own platform. To log in on MT5, you'll need three things:

  • Your account number
  • Your trading password
  • The server name

You'll find the server name on the Account Card for that specific demo account in your Member Area. If you haven't installed MT5 yet, just search "MetaTrader 5" on the App Store or Google Play and download it like any other app.

How Much Virtual Money Do You Get?

This depends on the account type and settings you choose when you create it, but demo accounts are generally funded with enough virtual balance to trade realistically across different position sizes.

If you want a different starting amount, you can't top up an existing demo account. Instead, just create a new one with the balance you want.

A Note on Leverage

Even on a demo account, you'll be asked to set a leverage level. This is worth taking seriously, since practicing with unrealistic leverage can give you a false sense of how risk actually behaves.

If you're planning to trade live eventually, it's a good idea to demo-trade using the same leverage you'd actually use with real money.

In Short

An IUX demo account gives you a genuinely useful way to test the platform and your own trading ideas without any financial risk. It only takes a few minutes to set up, and there's no real downside to trying it before you commit any real money.

Questions People Usually Ask

Does a demo account expire?

Not on its own. It stays active as long as you're using it. Leave it untouched for a long stretch, though, and the system may deactivate it. If that happens, opening a new one takes barely a minute.

How many demo accounts can I have?

Up to 6 at a time. If you hit that limit, delete one you're not using from the account management page to make room for another.

Can I add more virtual funds to an existing demo account?

No. If you want a different balance, you'll need to open a fresh demo account rather than topping up the one you already have.

Can I withdraw money from a demo account?

No. Since the funds aren't real, there's nothing to withdraw. Any profits you see are just for practice.

Is a demo account exactly the same as a real one?

Functionally, yes. Same platform, same pricing behavior, same order execution. The only thing missing is real money on the line, which also means the emotional side of trading won't feel quite the same.

Can I turn a demo account into a real account later?

Not directly. When you're ready to trade live, you'll create a separate real account using the same steps, just choosing Create Real Account instead of Try Demo.

Do I need to verify my identity for a demo account?

No. Identity verification (KYC) is only required for real accounts, since that's when actual money is involved.
